Last week, Shauntel, Todd, and Mark found the brightest Friday night lights in Fergus Falls! JLG was proud to be part of the pink glitz and glam as a sponsor of the Lake Region Healthcare Foundation Gala, helping 'Luminate Hope' and raise funds for the latest in 3D mammography at Elbow Lake and Fergus Falls radiology departments. Cheers to shining a light on early cancer detection and treatment. ✨ #GalaGlam #LuminateHope #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #MammogramsMatter

It’s Throwback Thursday, a perfect time to rewind and celebrate last week’s 8th Annual JLG Capstone Awards at North Dakota State University! Each year, NDSU’s 4th-year Architecture and Landscape Architecture students compete to make it into the top three significant design solutions. Congratulations to the 2024 Capstone Winner, Madeline Knoll ($1,500), along with runners-up Emma Clark ($500) and Enya Weinandt ($500)! Thank you to the NDSU faculty and our own Ty Pritchard, Tracy Jordre, Matthew Dunham, and Matt Torgerson, who were on hand to hand over big cash prize checks to three talented students.

JLGives Back to our communities in a variety of ways, and this week, we were proud to partner on a pre-design with Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC). Located in Bismarck, ND, their non-profit team provides safe, family-friendly environments that promote hope, health, and healing for traumatized children and their families. Here, our team put to work Trauma-Informed Design principles that were presented to the public in renderings at DCAC’s recent Wing Fling event – raising funds to help support care to nearly 1,000 kids and their families, all free of charge.

JLG loved helping the School of Environmental Studies (SES) celebrate Earth Day! Today, Shay, Neva, Dane, and Chayna were invited to present to juniors and seniors, explaining Biophilia & Ecosystems in Architectural Design. Our team shared how architecture is enabling ecosystems to thrive, restoring regional habitats, and reconnecting people to place. SES is an inspiring school that empowers passionate, educated, and articulate future leaders like JLG’s own alum, Carter Cusack. Carter found his passion within these corridors, brimming with turtles, hydroponics, shovels, and so much more! The School of Environmental Studies is a District 196 magnet school for juniors and seniors that immerses its students in the study of environmental topics and issues. The School Opened in 1995 with a partnership between District 196, the City of Apple Valley, and the State of Minnesota (Minnesota Zoo).
